This kind of model fits all my entire needs from travel to my home, from office to my school

Pros: high performance for a subnotebook (nearly a gaming notebook), Penryn processor option, 128mb NVIDIA GeForce GS, 7200rpm harddisk option, slim and lightweight feature, funky/business looking-cover design, MAGNESIUM ALLOY casing (great protection for display, processor, hardisk), touch-capable multimedia keys, smooth FULL-SIZE keyboard, WLED display option, SLOT-LOAD DVD+/-RW optical drive, Biometric Fingerprint option, WiFi, Bluetooth, Consumer IR, 2-megapixel webcam for standard display, HDMI and Firewire ports, 8-in-1 memory card slot, remote control, wedge-type hinge, larger palmrest for tough users
Cons: 2 USB ports, no modem, optical drive is not upgradable, noisy optical drive (though it seems cute robotic sound), average speaker sounds
Opinion:
I just bought this recently (May 2008). But before that, I got confused first which from these two will I buy, this? or the newly released HP DV3000.
Why I chose this? I don't like plastic laptops. I prefer those with Magnesium case and base. I don't like my laptop shine (literally) too much, and I prefer SMOOTH touchpad that doesn't leave dirty fingerprints and marks... and this is thinner and more portable with its weight. I am not after for gaming laptop though, but if I will, I better buy ones with options of NVIDIA GeForce GT or higher! This thing is enough for making video editing, DVD movies, intermediate decent games, documents and presentations, developing programs, internet browsing, and save lots of data from my phone, digicams, and movies.
