Need to decide what to buy...

I'm really bothered right now. I considered the HP Compaq mini note as my next buy but up to date I am still confused of whether I should get Asus Eee 900. Battery life on the Eee 900 is an edge but an upgrade on HP Compaq's mini note gives it a better battery life compared to the latter. Processor and design obviously goes to the HP Compaq mini note but upgrades may be a big deal for me in the future. I need help guys. Anyone from Cnet Asia who can help???

x61s (using a very low power comsumption CPU, but does not compromise much on processing power), with 8-cell battery
if not,
Asus Eee 900 and get a spare battery. I am more biased towards and Intel CPU.

there are few notable upcoming tech worth waiting for: Intel-atom & Wimax, which in 1-2 years time will become prevalent in the umpc~laptop market, more efficient cpu, less batt consumption, plus wider wifi coverage, and expect prices to drop along the way...especially for a/b/g equipped notebooks.

Now that I've used it for about a year there are unwelcome developments. First the trackpad buttons stopped functioning after about six months. Luckily the trackpad is multitouch. To click, tap once; to scroll, slide two fingers and to right click, tap with three fingers simultaneously. But I'm disappointed that this occurred within less than a year with normal use and to think that when at home I'm using a mouse.Another thing is that this netbook heats up so much that it could literally scorch your lap. So I bought a cooling pad but the keyboard area still heats up so I just use an electric fan to help cool things down a bit. Now talk about portability,duh!
And finally now my windows XP is about to crash so I'm planning on reformatting it soon.

If you're scouting for a new netbook look somewhere else. It's not a terrible netbook but there are newer and better models out there specially now that prices have gone done considerably.
I'm planning on upgrading soon, still undecided though what to get next time around. But definitely I'll get one with an Intel atom processor that doesn't heat as much and bluetooth would be most welcome too so I can easily transfer files to and from my mobile phone without the need of a usb cable.
