Dell XPS M1530 (Core 2 Duo T7500 Processor 2.2GHz, 2GB RAM)

Dell xps m1530 specs

Is it true that the unit comes with Gigabit ethernet? A quick check on the dell website seems to indicate otherwise.

Could you confirm?

Could you comment on the lcd screen.? How good is it compared to competing models of the same class?. How many nits? what would you say is the viewing angle?

More Questions

Hey there,

Very good review. Just a couple of things I would like to point out...

You said in the review that battery could be upgraded from 6 cell to 9 cell for an extra S$46 but the Dell website puts the upgrade at S$294!

Also, I was hoping to get the T8300 upgrade (2.4GHz) for the processor. Now, the T9300 upgrade would cost me an extra S$200 over the price with T8300 installed. I was wondering if it was really worth it, lets say for gaming purposes for the next 2-3 years?

Thanks

Cheers!

These are the controller installed in my machine:
Intel(R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN
Marvell Yukon 88E8040 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller
About LCD Screen i have bought and upgraded lcd screen 1440X900.
LCD is fine i believe at par with other systems of same price and no problem with viewing angle.

i did;t get nits which u wrote in ur post
