The bad: Tiny volume buttons; exposed mini-USB port.
The bottom line: The Sony NWZ-W202 Walkman is an excellent choice for people with active lifestyles who listen to music during workouts.

Renders all your (rest of) arsenal of portable players bulky
Jul 27, 2009Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Good music quality (exceptional clarity), unique & superbly practical design, fast charging and Zappin feature.
Cons: they left out the minor detail of putting a rubber cap on the mini USB socket
Opinion:
No more cumbersome hangaround earphone lines, draggy wires and dropping my portable players. Perfect for all environments indoors or outdoors because of its no strings attached nature. Files load into player without any hassle or trouble and 2Gb is (more than) sufficient for me. Is there anything overall so well-rounded superior out there ?
Wire Free Music at last!
Mar 20, 2009Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: No need for bluetooth solution, which means more money spent on holder & heaphones
Cons: How much is it?
Opinion:
With sony music quality, this is a must buy for me. Looking forward to their launch and price info....I can picture myself running with it! (that is if I can find my running shoes...)
Best walkman for gym and training
Mar 13, 2009Rating: 10 out of 10 (Perfect)
Pros: Lightweight, comfortable, great sound quality, easy to use, looks good, no cords, quick charge
Cons: 2gb capacity only
Opinion:
This is the perfect mp3 player for going to the gym or training, even out on the street. Having no cords is the most useful aspect, the earphones are great too. I thought I would miss my wired earphones but the ones on the W202 are excellent - it is also very comfortable on the ears and great sound quality which is expected of sony. I expected them to be quite uncomfortable during running but actually they fit extremely well and do not fumble at all during exercise. Music transfer is very easy, the controls are easy to use and intuitive. Zappin feature is really cool because it allows you to hear the song you want which i personally think is a lot better than the new ipod shuffle which only speaks the title/artist of the song (what if you can't remember how the song goes?). The best feature is quick charge, 3mins charge for 90mins playback is very helpful ... Read more
