The good: Slim design with a lovely, ample screen; easy to use; comes with high-quality earphones; excellent audio quality; plenty of sound enhancement options and two custom EQs; supports photo, video playback and subscription WMA files; fantastic battery life.

The bad: Earphone cable is very short; placement of the hold button on the back of the player is neither convenient nor ergonomic; no FM tuner, voice recorder or memory expansion slot.

The bottom line: The Sony NW-A808 offers a fantastic display, a sleek design and interface, and a stellar battery life--plus, it's one of the few MP3 players that sound great right out of the box. Users looking for the whole package (sans radio) will be pleased.

Pros: Outstanding audio quality, nice screen, and display, well built
Cons: Price...2 years ago :)
Opinion:
Discontinued.. but if you find one.. just grab it.. One more thing... if you want to listen to the radio... buy handphone lahh.....

I think my next plan is to add an headphone amplifier such as CMOY...

Pros: Excellent sound quality, very crisp bass, total harmonic distortion is nil even at high volumes

One generally accepted myth is that if the looks of any eletronic item is good and eye catching, performance will be equally superior. Not necessary, an item may have a dummy look but that will be the item which will steal the show. Never go by looks.

As far as Sony NW-A808 (8GB) is concerned, the sound quality is simply superb, no other brands will ever be able to match it. After all, we give more importance to the sound and thats the right area where Sony NW-A808 has shown its difference. It can store upto 8 GB.. thats excellent. Every product has loopholes, and yes Sony NW-A808 may also have minor loopholes, but the positive aspects completely outweigh it's loop holes. Even, if the price is slightly higher, never mind, the sound quality and
