The bad: Short battery life; no display; irritating blip when skipping tracks.
The bottom line: The S7 is a great little player when compared to the iPod shuffle, but against the rest of the competition, it would boil down to a matter of taste.

Great sound. Beats the Shuttle
Jan 2, 2007Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Sound. Some audio control
Cons: Can lose the USB hookup plug, shorter battery than the Shuttle
Opinion:
I bought an S10, but I demo'ed the S7 here in Seoul. They sound the same (through stock headphones, anyway). You'll want to invest in some better headphones (I like Sony's EX-51's, for the price). There is plenty of volume to the unit. This is a great mp3 player for the money. I was quite impressed, but I wanted more functionality, so I got the S10.
This unit sounds much better than the Apple Shuttle, which has some noise in the background. The S7 doesn't.
the no touch review
Dec 15, 2006Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: small size, fancy looking, very simple
Cons: no screen, no radio presets, not enough memory
Opinion:
Well since I am Korean I think I can understand the symbolism of the rooster and the urinating dog. A rooster is naturally loud so the button means louder volume. Now how many people have listened to a dog urinate? if you are actually listen to one, it is very quiet, thus meaning smaller volume.
