I just had it for 1 week+. But I found it's a great player. Sound quality is great (Sony player always had this), battery life is better than ipod, free remote controller with backlight (ipod doesn't bundle this), can navigate the songs even in totally darkness. While I connect it to my company PC as external HDD with provided cradle, it works without power adapter as stated in user manual. Also works when try to transfer photos from my digicam without power. So I don't have to buy 2GB memory card for my camera. But the trassfer will drain battery faster. Only few things I think can be improved are: Sony should ship this with a direct cable for charging from any USB port. Better if battery is removable.
