The bad: Touch-pad navigation won't impress everyone; records voice and FM tuner in WAV format only; no dedicated volume control.
The bottom line: The colorful and versatile Zen Micro will make lots of users happy.

Should have been recalled back
Jul 20, 2006Rating: 1 out of 10 (Abysmal)
Pros: heavy, so when its broke, it can be use as paper weight(which is what i'm doing now)
Cons: Poor sliding control pad, worst headphone jack ever, low battery duration, long start-up time,......
Opinion:
If you are planning to buy, please avoid it at all cost. The worst thing about it is the headphone jack where it will break down eventually(mostly within a year), mine broke down within 1 month.Creative should have long recalled this product as i found out that many zen micro users are facing the same problem too. Do cheak out the creative's very own discussion forums at

Creative should recall this product
Apr 22, 2006Rating: 1 out of 10 (Abysmal)
Pros: Can't think of any
Cons: Overrated piece of plastic
Opinion:
the player died on the 7th day of purchase due to firmware error... replacement done...
hang so many times throughout the 8 months and had to reboot the player for at least once every week... (i am good enough to be their phone support.. i know every required steps to fix the bloody player)
now it died again due to the faulty on off switch... and they have no replacement for my white...
i guess they ran out of White Elephants! (at least i hope...)
Never buy this model of their mp3 players... u'll regret... i know a couple of other friends who had the same set of problems too... i'll rate it -10 if there is such a rating... CNet, you 8 is definitely and over-stated...
basic featured player
Mar 20, 2006Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: excellent sound quality, removable battery, nice blue glow
Cons: Lousy battery life, bulky n heavy
Opinion:
battery is the only problem i have. I owned MuVo Vidz previously. I bought this player because it has removable battery n longer battery life than my MuVo vidz. But it only lasted less than 8 hours. Even my Vidz can last about 12 hours, claiming to be 10 hours. PATHETIC. But i heard there's an improved battery lasting 18 hours. Overall, great player for long trips.
