Maybe Awesome
Nov 3, 2009Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Lighter, Smaller, Not UMD Friendly
Cons: C'mon Sony, WHERE DID THE GOOD GAMES GO?
Opinion:
So, I bought this thinking that I could have played all the good titles on the go in this smaller package.
But boy did I get a wake-up call when I logged on the the online store on my PS3.
The games were either mostly in Japanese versions are a total let-down (i.e. Class of Heroes), god knows why.
If you can read the japanese language, good for you. But I think that is a minor crowd.
And expensive as hell ! You would think that the company would sell you the games at a more competitive price since it is without the box and manual. BUT NO.
SGD$70 odd for Soul of Calibur?! Start at SGD$50 and we will talk about maybe purchasing it.
Then we have the accessories. Not available in Singapore? Are you kidding me...? Apparently not.
And as for the customer service team? All dead. No replies ... Read more
Sony will receive my letters - being lied upon purchase
Oct 19, 2009Rating: 2 out of 10 (Terrible)
Pros: Small, and that is all as +
Cons: The already reported ones + lies of SONY Sales Staff to boost redundant sales
Opinion:
I knew upon purchasing that the Go had not stolen many reviewers hearts.
I ONLY purchased it when the sales staff in Sony Flagshipstore in Hong Kong CONFIRMED that Sony Store did NOT used the same ID approach as Apple does (for iTunes store)
Well, guess what...I live in Taiwan, being a Native English speaker, I am pissed with the online content offered here.
I want to buy the games and content available for other countries as it is purely DISCRIMINATING to put consumers in a box. Paying 1900 HKD for THIS service?? Shame on them
This simply undermines the only '+" the Go has.
Advice: Stick to your 1000 or 3000 series. do NOT upgrade as it is simply NOT worth the price...
Other no-no's:
Plastic is quickly greasy
Buttons are indeed badly placed
Some games tested play in Micron format, almost impossible to see the target - direction of the car etc.

Great product for my needs
Oct 9, 2009Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: small, games, high quality music playback,
Cons: feels delicate
Opinion:
I was looking for an mp3 player, and the PSPgo came along, now I can also buy games online and play games whenever. Rock Band is a lot of fun and there are a lot of other good games.
