User Review for Apple iPod touch (32GB)
Cool gadget but...
Oct 28, 2008Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Large screen, touch interface, thin, high capacity, 3rd party apps
Cons: Apple product, ie; you need iTunes, it's a major pain to update and scratches easily
Opinion:
All in all I think this is a pretty solid product. It has got a massive memory capacity, large touch screen display and is easily operated. The new software update that makes it support 3rd party apps more than dubbles it's usefulness.
Unfortunately Apple still manages to make some things troublesome for users by forcing them to use iTunes. Every single time I've updated the thing it (and sometimes iTunes with it) has crashed. Completely. I've lost all my music, movies, photos etc on it and been forced to upload it again. Very time consuming and extremely frustrating. I still can't get it to update to the latest software version that enables the genius feature either. It is a bit bothersome to have to use iTunes even for the most basic things as well, like uploading photos on it. That would have been nice to be able to do without iTunes. And finally, like all iPods it has a polished metal back that scratches extremely easily.
But in spite of all this it is still a very enjoyable product, as long as it's not connected to your computer.
