User Review for Samsung YP-K3 (2GB)

Only have a good looking

Rating: 3 out of 10 (Poor)
Pros: good looking
Cons: Terrible software design; inconvenient change; battery life
Opinion:
It was a charismas gift from my husband. I first was very happy to have it because my old mp3 player somehow only work with one ear. I thought anything would be better than my old one. But I was very disappointed once I started to use it. Here are the reasons: 1. My biggest disappointment is that it can’t play by file folder! First I thought I was wrong. Then I tried everything and found it was true. I mainly use for audio books instead of music. That is why play by folder is so important to me. 2. The software is not very easy to use at all. I am a system admin and really good at figure out of thing. Oh, but not this time. It took me quite a while before I really understand the logic of the software. I really want to use the word “stupid” if my 5 year old is not around. 3. The battery is far from it claimed. It said it could last for 20 hours. But in fact, it lasts less than 10 hours. At least, mine does.

1) Can't play by file folder? As in within a folder? I'm not sure what the issue is.. My guess is: Manually create a folder for each audio book inside Music folder, then play from there using Normal mode? If the files are named and sorted properly (yeah, you'll have to sort it yourself in windows explorer), they should read downwards from first to last chapter correctly.

2) Yup, the program takes some getting used to.. I normally just create my own folders by album and just drag and drop them into the Music folder manually.

3) Weird.. Using the stock earphones, I clocked around 20 hours on my first use (after the 6 hours of required battery charging before first use.. did you do that? >_>). Using the Westone UM1 earbuds, I was able to clock around 14 hours.. but then, I've been using the YP-K3 for a year now, so the batteries might have weakened. You might wanna get the battery checked out if it's really, really weak.. 'cause it isn't supposed to be like that :p

Hope the info helps you enjoy your YP-K3 more :D
