User Review for iriver U20 (4GB)
Almost perfect
Sep 13, 2007Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Superb sound, video quality, intuitive user interface
Cons: Video conversion a little slow, seemingly fragile body
Opinion:
Bought in on impulse on a recent trip to Japan, because I wanted something to watch video with.
Prior to this, I was using Zen micro, ipod nano, then e10
Sound quality is, as all other iriver players, great! It also has the excellent recording function, which is a must for me.
But most surprisingly, I'd say, I'm most pleasantly surprise by how "easy" it is to watch the videos, despite the smallish screen.
I use iriver3 plus to convert my video files. While it takes a rather long time, the converted video was surprisingly quite clear.
(By the way, i found that video in widescreen format seems to work best with clix?)
The only downside is, I kept on having this worry that one day I'll damage the player if I accidentally press too hard, coz the body does feel a bit flimsy.
but overall, I'd say I'm one very satisfied customer ^^
