SINGAPORE--Sony Ericsson this afternoon showcased three of its latest handsets at a fringe event outside of
CommunicAsia. While the Japanese-Swedish company didn't announce any new smartphones this time round (the
rumored Xperia X2 didn't even make an appearance), it did say that the Satio, Yari and Aino will be bundled with exclusive content for Asia Pacific.
Users can expect to get three movies and three music videos with the Satio (previously known as the Idou) and the Aino. This will come from a movie catalog that includes
Angels & Demons,
Made of Honor,
You Don't Mess with the Zohan and
Quarantine. The music video selection includes titles from Kelly Clarkson, Kasabian, Kings of Leon, Britney Spears, Wong Leehom, Rainie Young, Alan Kuo and others. There are up to 300 titles in the library. The Satio will also get two additional games,
Asphalt Road and
Prince of Persia.
The third device showcased this afternoon was the Yari. It supports gesture- and motion-gaming features and users can download three games from a list of up to 100 titles.
All three phones are expected to be available early Q4 in the Asia-Pacific region.
