The announcement of the Touch HD brought the total number of HTC devices with its newest TouchFLO 3D interface to three. We rounded up all three of them for a little family gathering and also checked out the glorious WVGA screen of the Touch HD.

The Touch HD has a motion sensor which automatically orientates the screen depending on how you hold it. Here, you see the CNET Asia homepage on its WVGA (800 x 480) display.

If you hold the device in portrait mode, you realize how useful the extra screen real estate is. Here, you can almost see the entire length of the CNET Asia homepage in one screen.

Here's a feature in the Opera Mobile browser we haven't noticed before. Instead of tapping the screen to zoom in, there's now also a slider which you can use to adjust the zoom level. This disappears when not in use and seems pretty useful for one-handed use.

On the top of the Touch HD is a full 3.5mm audio jack, a feature we always like to see in any handheld. This will allow you to plug in your favorite headphones for music or movie enjoyment.

Finally, a family photo showing the girths of the three devices--from top: Touch Pro, Touch Diamond and Touch HD. Notice how the Touch HD is almost as thin as the Diamond even though it is both wider and longer than both its siblings. As we have noted previously, it's almost the same size as an iPhone 3G but slightly heavier.
