Pros: i like its interface
Cons: the keyboard
Opinion:
NOBODY IS REQUIRING YOU TO RUN 7 PAGES OF WIDGETS. It's nice to at least HAVE the option to do so, at the obvious sacrifice of battery life and speed/smootheness.
If you were to treat it as an iPhone, and only run 1 app at a time, I'm sure you wouldn't have the same gripes.
I'll tell you one thing. If Apple doesn't include true background processes w/ 4.0, I'm definitely going with Android on HTC. And by next year, they'll have an even better UI in a much better-suited hardware set.
But again, as far as the Hero is concerned: If the phone gets sluggish, quit some apps, and pretend it's an iPhone.

Pros: good user interface, sharp cam, the curve of the phone make it easy to hold
Cons: blue tooth don seem to work, "slow"cam, games from market can be improved
Opinion:
i been using for almost a month. no regret. most of the basic function been very good. the only problem is that for sms, it tend to auto change the word. esp for letter "i" and "u" which is so near each other, it totally change the subject and meaning of the sms.
the games from market don seen to be as interesting as iphone.
the cam is sharp, colour is great but tend to take blur pictures.
the one and only thing that can piss me is the blue tooth, it just don seem to work in any case.
in short, most of the functions is really great and not problems. having this phone can said to be no regret
Almost perfect

Pros: Totally free android applications. Fast browsing.
Cons: Slightly laggy camera.
Opinion:
This phone is almost better den Iphone. Given the possibilities of the OS at its infancy stage, its amazing! Its gona have a firmware update in a few more days.
The user interface is user friendly with many widgets n icons that are easily accessed. Interactive softwares to access wirelessly.
I juz hope the "chin" goes away and the cursorball blend in the same color with the broze cover.
Great phone

Pros: Its running on Android!
Cons: Can't install own Android Roms
Opinion:
Been using the Hero for the past 2 weeks. I must say its a fantastic phone with endless possibilities. It even got me back to brushing up my long forgotten programming skills in an attempt to write my own little Android app :)
There are apps that can be downloaded via the market for bluetooth transfer of files btw.
Only gripe I have with my Hero is that it came with the newest update pre-installed. Yes it removed the lag that earlier versions suffered from, but it also patched the phone, disallowing me from rooting it.
If HTC releases a Snapdragon 1ghz version + updates to allow saving of apps to the memory card, I would buy it! (Given it looks as slim as the Hero... And yes... you're limited to the ROM for installation of apps... but hey, I've still got more than half my ROM available after installing like 2 dozen apps.
