Window 6.5 First Day

Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Battery performance is better
Cons: SMS thread wording too small and Email list font to large
Opinion:
After lots of complaint about my battery life, finally it comes the resolution. I turn on IM all the time and mail polling hourly. With Windows mobile 6.1 only lasted 4 hours but now it has been 24hours since, even with 1 hour of GPS on.

SMS threading that everyone missed from Omnia I is now in but not sure why the font is so small. Clicking into eMail list, the font is so huge that yo can hardly figure out who send you the eMail unless to tilt. Nevertheless the tilting in this case work seemlessly.

One bug thou. IM when after prolong run, when trying to type, the keypad goes off after every character and the icon to activate input style will also disappear for 5 seconds.

As of now, the upgrade is still worth while, at least my battery is now running longer.

Good performance device

Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Connectivity, screen brightness, hot plugable SD and speaker.
Cons: Battery drain off fast
Opinion:
I don't really concern about threaded sms because it slows down the device.

Bluetooth connect to my Plantronics headset is instance, WIFI connecting is fast, GPRS connect is slow on Singtel network. I normally have BT and GPRS permanently on, with about 60 mins calls plus reading ebooks for 2 hours the battery flat within 10 hours.

When browsing maps from Mightly Mind DigiMap 7, the graphic accelerator can't display well. I have not try to set performance to HIGH perhaps it helps to display maps without empty rectangular patch.

A minor tweak need to be done in order to get the speaker sound loud enough for outdoor.

Could have incorporated Omnia 1 & 2

Rating: 6 out of 10 (Good)
Pros: large screen, vibrant resolution, sensitive touch
Cons: No flash lght unless for photo taking purposes,
Opinion:
Firstly user thephonz has summed up everything i wanted to comment.

Being an Omnia 1 user as well, here are some other stuff i noticed about the Omnia II:

1. Much wider screen on the Omnia II

2. Vibrant color resolution which makes my photos look really great.

3. Icons on the top right of the phone incidentally are shortcuts to the settings unlike the Omnia I

4. Overall Omnia II has a more sensitive touch unlike the Omnia

5. Speaker volume is louder, also the speaker is better than Omnia, i will not need to put my mouth right at the speaker in order for others to hear me clearly

6. More on board applications such as Myspace and Friendster

Having said all these, here are the cons :

1. Annoying 'sms sent' beeps to let you know the sms is being sent. Unable to remove that at the ... Read more
