Great Phone

Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: Big clear screen, PS3 Media connection, Nice bluetooth headpiece included
Cons: Software lag, bad video capture
Opinion:
Have been using the iPhone for 3 years and wanted to move away from touch screen phone. Love the look and design of the Aino and has been using it for a week now. Notice a lag on the software when going into the menus, messaging, etc. The keypad is a bit too stiff for texting and hopefully it gets softer over time. The camera takes great photos but taking video is quite bad. Youtube videos does not look good in the Aino screen. Could be due to the software side. Most times, when putting the phone in your pants pocket, it easily gets unlocked by itself. I turned on 3G and wireless all the time and with very little talk time, I still need to charge the phone on a daily basis. The battery drains pretty fast. MediaGo syncs wireless with the phone everytime I am at home and connect it to the desk stand. Wisepilot GPS takes a ... Read more

Solid phone, quite different from the usual offerings

Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Build quality, multimedia functionality, conversation SMS
Cons: Limited touch screen capability
Opinion:
Solid multimedia functions, I like the intuitive touch screen for photos, music, camera...

The SMS conversation feature allows you to view your messages in a conversation-like thread.

Screen and build quality is superb. A touch screen with a slide - out keypad caters to both sides of the camp, good for those text a lot and do not like to use only touch screen for SMS.

With all the latest bells and whistles thrown in, this is a good alternative to the usual offerings...

Just got it yesterday (pre-launch)

Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: 8.1mp camera with touch snap function, better interface for web browsing, bluetooth headset good for wireless music on the go
Cons: laggy even without application running, short battery life if used together with the bluetooth headset for music, proprietary port, no front camera for video call, high price tag
Opinion:
First look on the phone, it looks quite fine, not to mention SE provided the charging stand which is cool.
1. But due to the proprietary connector port, you may experience difficulty in removing it, and there's this worries where the the port may fail.. I experienced it with all my other SE phone, most of it can't be charged now due to faulty proprietary port.

2. And I think that its touch screen isn't as responsive (I'm using Omnia 2 also), and it may be better if you use it with stylus (I haven't try yet)..

And I just experienced a crash while listening to music from the supplied bluetooth headset while writing this. In addition, battery drain very fast when use with bluetooth headset (I charged my phone as required 8 hours prior to use).

3. the camera is technically very sensitive to light as compared to my omnia 2 which ... Read more
