Good but can be improved
Jul 21, 2009Rating: 6 out of 10 (Good)
Pros: user-friendly
Cons: some supposedly basic features not included
Opinion:
My first sony ericsson after all the while using Nokia - surprisingly very user-friendly and now prefer this than nokia, though it's a love-hate relationship with my C510. Good in that the buttons are not that difficult to navigate, ringing is loud and clear, and caller can hear me quite clear even outside. Though there are quite a few cons which I find should have been basic stuff not included; such as setting of calender tone. It's not possible to set ringing tone to our appts, it's set by default which is so low in volume how to hear unless we put our phone next to our ear all the time. So what's the use of having calender in this case. And my photos and ringtones have gone missing once. Thought I have accidentally deleted them, and re-download all only to find double entries the next day. Don't know why is this so. ... Read more

Not a great phone, cheapy and poor performance
Jun 29, 2009Rating: 3 out of 10 (Poor)
Pros: Price, camera
Cons: Cheap build quality, lousy sound and voice clarity
Opinion:
I had originally bought the C510 but was thoroughly disappointed with build quality, voice clarity and sound. The C510 may pack in a lot of features for the price but it is a sub-standard phone that feels cheap. I exchanged it for the T700. This phone has amazing build quality, feels good in your hand with its silver and polished-textured black finish. Voice clarity is amazing, the camera is decent, the feel of the phone is solid and richer than it's slightly higher price tag than the C510.
It's sad the T-series has been relatively ignored. Sony Ericsson's standards with the C- and W-series are gradually slipping. The T700 was the only other new SE phone I liked. Except for one or two little things like no sleep mode clock, the T700 is simply brilliant. Battery is good and the locking mechanism to remove the battery cover is so superb it makes the C510's rip off cover look like ... Read more
i'd rather stick to my k770i
May 19, 2009Rating: 4 out of 10 (Mediocre)
Pros: smile shutter (but rarely use), more sturdy lens cover
Cons: slow auto focus, not v.clear cam features, buttons too close, slight lag
Opinion:
i m upgrading from my SE k770i..(so my comparisions are between these 2 models)
Its lens cover is better compared to 770. U need to take a while to get used to it.
Its smile shutter can detect smile and shoot upon seeing at least 1 smile. However, it takes too long to auto focus, the photos taken r nt tat clear.
As above, e no. buttons too close and there is a slight lag sometimes when u r searching your contact list.
affortable cyber shot !!!
