Good mid range business phone
Oct 21, 2009Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: Nokia browser, affordability, Exchange support
Cons: Symbian OS restrictions
Opinion:
I would suggest this phone for mid range business users. This is a good device that manages a regular business user's needs. However the restriction on Symbian OS gets in the way of simple PIM (eg. meeting requests functionalities)sometimes.
Other than minor personal preferences, I think this is a stunning phone. And I love any RED coloured devices. :)
excellent phone
Jul 29, 2009Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: wifi, good battery life
Cons: no gps, poor camera
Opinion:
although it has no camera for video calls and has a 2 megapixel camera which is poor compared to other 2 megapixel cameras of other brands(samsung), it is is very good for internet, like using it for email.
Battery has a long standby time.
Does not lose out to the E71!
May 15, 2009Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Fantastic keypad. Amazing battery life. Bright screen. Good reception.
Cons: Not 3.5G. No included micro-USB cable. A touch slow in switching apps.
Opinion:
Had it for 2 weeks and then sold it off for the new Touch Diamond 2. Was great while it lasted.
The plastic felt more reassuring than the slippery metallic E71. The power button was much more discrete than the awful panic button colour of the E71. The keypad too improved, I felt. The oversized space bar of the E71 had been slimmed down so that an extra button can be accomodated on each side. Downloaded and tested out Nokia's new messenging service and found the interface great. Loved the flashlight short cut key. Build quality was good. Never had a battery cover removal been so simple yet secure. Prodigious battery life. One handed surfing was a breeze on Opera.
No 3.5G meant I could not watch Starhub's TV on mobile (WiFi no can do for TV on Mobile), Video streaming sites were also out. That's why I sold it. The 3.5G E71 wins on this count. The lack ... Read more
An E61i replacement
Apr 24, 2009Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Faster hardware. Music capable. More pocket and hand friendly. Better keypad.
Cons: Smaller screen. Not too much of an upgrade.
Opinion:
I bought this phone to replace an ailing E61i. Pound for pound, its more phone (only by the virtue of being lighter).
Its not much of an upgrade. You get the same camera, the same software, a smaller screen.
On the other hand, it fits in your hand and pocket a lot better. The 3.5mm jack adds a new dimension to the E61i's mono floppy connector. Music playback is only decent, even after a fair amount of tweaking with the equalizer.
Finally an affordable nokia which does everything. This phone embodies the term 'jack of all trades'.
Very Satisfied!
Apr 18, 2009Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Good handling, size, price, fuction
Cons: Material of the battery cover feels like can be scratched easily
Opinion:
I'm fine with the weight, 127g is ok. Material of the phone is good, does not slip off my hand unlike the metallic ones... they slip easily and end up on the ground. With all basic function I need like SMS,Video calls, WIFI,Bluetooth, Voice recorder, video, camera etc. It also comes with MS Office and PDF!
Rather concern abt the battery cover being scratched.
Not recommended for fussy and picky user. Overall a friendly phone. Thumbs up!
