Everything for less!

Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: GPS, Wifi, Big screen, Small size, Light weight
Cons: No 3G, Slow, No preloaded maps
Opinion:
Hey,

Here's my review:

1. Phone overall - 8/10 (at this price)
2. Wifi - 9/10 - works fine in my house
3. GPS - 6/10 - slow and no preloaded maps, had to download some free one's and they dont work
4. Battery - 9/10 - I downloaded random softwares initially and battery went for a toss. But then I did a hard reset (factory settings) and now its lasts for 2 days. Amazing for a PDA.
5. RAM - 5/10 - its slow, but then, its cheap!
6. Other - I suggest you buy a transcend 4GB card (it supports max 4GB, sometimes 8gb too), and watch movies. Its an amazing experience. Convert movies to WMV and small size (100mb) using Vio Mobile Convertor. Also, try playinh around using Pointui free software. It makes ur phone looks cool (specially if it is black). Download S2P for music and u have a cool phone at a cool ... Read more

Trendy and functional

Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: slim, light weight, win mo 6.1, supports SDHC, GPS, 2MP auto focus Cam, WiFi,
Cons: poor reception, slow processor/RAM
Opinion:
I've been using this phone for about six months now. This is my first Win Mobile device and I ve been trying to put all of its features to use. I think that this phone is intended to be a competitor to the leader in its class:-the HTC Touch; Asus has tried to gain an edge in packing a GPS receiver and upgrading the OS to W.M.6.1, supporting an SDHC card is also an added feature over the rival. asus has succeeded in all these and also exceled in keeping the price at the lowest wen compared to the other PDA phones in this class.
The biggest problem with the phone is its processor and poor memory. The processor which is Texas Instruments' OMAP 850 which can spurn out 200 MHz of computing is barely sufficient for basic PDA functions and hence all the added features are only a burden here. Adding fuel to fire is the frequent system hangs ... Read more

Small But Yet Powerful

Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Lightweight, Slim and Looks Good.....Inexpensive. GPS.
Cons: No 3G, Slow Processor and Touch Screen Not that Responsive
Opinion:
A small pda with excellent features. Value for money. Great for those first timer. Not suitable for heavy user. Used it for 2 days now without any problem.....GPS is a bit slow but acceptable. Slow processor means that programs are a little bit slow to response. Touch screen is not that sensitive. Overall this is a satisfactory buy......Good Job Asus!

a HTC at 40% discount

Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: solid phone at affordable price
Cons: poor GPS reception and systen hangs occasionally
Opinion:
I have had the phone for about 2 weeks and so far the phone seemed to provide the functionality as promised except for the GPS. To be fair, I live in the core city area and therefore have been surrounded by tall buildings all the time and weather have been pretty bad (thick clouds and rain) for the entire period when trying out the GPS function. In any case, the phone probably cannot be used for driving navigation given the poor GPS reception. Maybe adding an external receiver/antenna would help.

Overall, though the phone is not perfect, I can live with the drawbacks given the price.
