Veru disappointing device - AVOID
Apr 6, 2009Rating: 2 out of 10 (Terrible)
Pros: GPS, Wifi, 3G
Cons: Bulky, Dodgy screen, lousy headphones, 64MB RAM, no tech support
Opinion:
Bulky device. Only 64MB RAM, flickering screen, need to press hard for screen to respond. Unable to get GPRS to work. No response from mwg tech support. Will never buy anything from MWG again.
Good Performance, Nice Quick Menu interface
Sep 15, 2008Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: Quick Menu interface, stable
Cons: Slightly too long
Opinion:
So far the Atom V that I have been using is very stable, not too much of problems I am facing with it.
The quick menu interface looks good. Definitely better than WM default today screen.
The gripes I have is the longish design makes the device not as pocketable as it should be...
See videos on youtube what these phones are like.
Sep 6, 2008Rating: 2 out of 10 (Terrible)
Pros: nothing
Cons: everything.
Opinion:
what more can i say. was burnt by the O2 atom xda life. had xda II and excellent but had atoms, then bought two life phones by O2 for my business and had problems from day 1.
if you want to see FACTUAL examples of videos and the problems ive had see the link below.
www.youtube.com...
apparantly these phones are based on the old life and are probably just the same crap in different clothing. O2 lost my business so why would i have wanted to buy something from MWg. The business O2 Asia was sold to MWg and probably the same old thinking stayed with the transition as well as the product but for all i know i got BURNT by the O2 atom life and never want to buy anything labelled O2, ATOM, XDA or life ever again. In summary, it didnt give me a life as promised.
Slim device, good size for GPS
Jul 29, 2008Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: GSM Quad band, thin and 3.5G, upgradable to WM6.1
Cons: longish form factor, could have been alittle shorter
Opinion:
For once, there's a device that is slim even with GPS offering, fits quite well into pocket, though you might want to get a screen protector to keep the flat panel scratch free.
it's upgradable to WM6.1, but I would advise against it, as with all WM improvements, they are usually not significant.
This device is the worst device ive ever used
Jul 9, 2008Rating: 1 out of 10 (Abysmal)
Pros: NONE...MWg copies this device....in the activesync its also displayed as gigabyte
Cons: very very poor signal...messaging problems....poor service centre 48 dollars just to get the device checked
Opinion:
Ok ... im a gadget freak and ive changed my mobile phones dozens of times and this is the worst pda ive ever used
i dont understand why the signal reception is so poor when compared to other nokia phones....sometimes i have to restart several times to get it right
also have a messaging problem...messages sent to me when my handphone is off are lost forever....usually messages sent when the phone is off will be pending and will be received when we turn on the phone...my device doesnt
ive hard reset several times and upgraded the ROM and still the same problem...this phone makes me feel unsafe coz i dont know wheter i receive message or not
tried to go to funan MWg service centre and they asked for 48 dollars JUST to CHECK the phone and thats only check and not repairs...
and the worst thing is .... why the hell did they copy ... Read more
