One of Nokia's greatest XpressMusic S40 phones so far
Nov 13, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: 3.2 cam, 16M TFT Display, Good Design, Slider Key, Good Music phone, Good Keypads, S40 5th Edition
Cons: Not that good Loudspeaker, 2.5mm jack, Slider Key limited functions, Hungry on thumbmarks
Opinion:
As a owner of this phone, i want to make a review for those who are planning to buy this phone.. i will make this as short and as informative as possible..
Nice phone, with good design, lighter than its father (6500 slide) and offers good quality of music especially when in headphones, that's why it's an XpressMusic phone. Its built-in loudspeaker is not that great by the way. It has an anti scratch screen protector, but it will be hungry for thumb marks so you need to clean it always.
Since it is only an S40 5th edition phone, it has limited applications only. Some bug fixes were made and camera fixes were done in the 8.30 firmware making it better (depending on region). It has a decent 3.2 mp camera for its lineup which is far more better than 1st generation N-Series phones. Even if its camera is not a Carl Zeiss, image quality is almost ... Read more
Not As Fanstatics
Apr 28, 2008Rating: 2 out of 10 (Terrible)
Pros: 3.2 Mega, Average Speaker music playback, Slider, Fast Navg
Cons: Ugly Looking, Navg Poor, Always can't read memory card, Hardware Error
Opinion:
At glance i bought n6500s of the design after a while of using such a letdown on the phone.. Bought the N5610 with almost the same spec.. Once again, encounter so many problems again. The screen flicker on and off, Hang, Number "3", "6", "9" always can be press sometimes can sometimes cannot so irrating so important of the "9", the games download can be play after few wks it corrupted it display unsupported file, Camera also not standby mode after using awhile.. So Shameless.......
Not as perfect as I had expected it to be..

Pros: Excellent 3.2 MP camera with light, gd stereo sound, damn stylish n hot.
Cons: Hangs often, Average battery life, Slider keys not as responsive
Opinion:
Had bought this phone from Singtel with 2yr contract. It was meant to be an excellent upgrade from my current Nokia 6131. Was deciding between 5610 and 6500 slide.
My requirements: Mz be an excellent camera phone, 1-touch music phone and hv gd organizer functions. But the dream was shattered.
Excellent mp3 and surround sound playback + I love the camera and the photos/video taken with it. Even in the dark. And it looks hot!
However, I have had phone lags several times esp during crucial photo-taking time, when the phone is charging up or sometimes even when idle. I have had to remove the battery, wait a while and then insert it back and switch it on.
Its less responsive to my fast-fingers.+ I prefer N5300 n N5310's side-mounted 1-touch music keys.
U will notice that 5610's slider keys are NOT independent and u cnt skip/forward tracks. Those slider keys rather act as just toggle mode btwn Music, Radio ... Read more
Great phone, nice! Almost perfect!

Pros: look at the design (Color Blue looks really great!), Vivid screen(Superb) - PSP like, nice 3.2 MP camera (Outdoor), good video playback and recording, great sound quality and affordable price,
Cons: red color version sucks!, not xenon flash equipped, it's only dual led dat's why the "Noise" is really noticeable in low light condition, not Carl Zeiss, lack of Wifi and HSDPA
Opinion:
ey dude/guys! dis is more of a question that an opinion hehe, I own a Nokia 5610 too, just wanna know if you could still successfully pair your 5610(bluetooth) to others or any bluetooth device with the latest firmware that you have mentioned. Is it 4.81 firmware version? Right now I am still using the stock firmware version (4.2) but so far I am not experiencing such lags, major clicking sound problems while playing music. there's just one time that it made a "ksshhhhhhhhhhh" sound while watching video but after restarting my 5610, the sound's gone. Honestly, I am not disappointed with Nokia 5610 although I heard that there are issues according from other 5610 owners that could prevent one from getting this baby yeah! 5610 is the best phone! hope to hear from you soon regarding the firmware update. . .thanks dude
My first Nokia Hp...Pleasantly enjoyabled experience...

Pros: 3.2mp camera, add-on 512mb memory card, good music phone
Cons: 2.5mm jack, thumbprint magnet, lack of auto-lock on slide
Opinion:
I had some problems with this hp when I first got it because it lagged as some of the fellas here mention. However, it seems pretty smooth since I upgraded the firmware online.
The one big pet peeve I had was that unlike my previous hp models (Siemens, Samsung and LG), this hp could recognise a contact's number when it came with the country code(+65 for singapore) for smses. So I end up checking my contact list for the person's name to add an extra number with the +65 included!
The second problem was that they don't have auto-lock on sliding back. The only way is to set auto-lock time to a minimum of 5 sec upon last use. They should have included a setting for auto-lock upon slide.
The camera and video are good for a hp..Don't think it's better than the 6500 slide but hey, get a real digicam if you are looking for ... Read more
