Love blackberry Model
Dec 12, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: High technology
Cons: The design
Opinion:
whatever its is, i still like blackberry..because of its function and its awesome too!
And no, the emergency call feature is actually pretty handy
Oct 21, 2007Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Emergency Call is a useful, harmless feature
Cons: Emergency Call is NOT a "badly implemented" feature
Opinion:
In response to one of the reviewers, who points out a grayamerica.com URL about how someone's BB called 911, well that's a provider-specific feature. That guy needs to talk to his mobile ISP. I did not have this issue in Singapore at all. And even when the phone was locked, it is VERY unusual to somehow get to the emergency call option unless one is superlatively clumsy, which that blogger seems to be.
The only thing going against a BB is the lack of 3G, but that is easily taken care of with Wi-Fi -- why would you splurge on 3G anyway when you could piggy-back on a free Wi-Fi connection? As for pricing, well, it is not too much more expensive than the options one has in this "Qwerty handheld" category.
BB is still the one to beat
Oct 21, 2007Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Excellent email client; Very fast interface;
Cons: Price.
Opinion:
This is still the one to beat. The CNET review mentions two cons:
1. Slippery keyboard (I did not experience this at all)
2. Proprietary IM client (easily solved with downloading an Opera Mini for Blackberry and using one of the many online services that allow you to use Yahoo, MSN, ICQ, Skype etc such as Meebo)
Touch-pad and stuff from HTC is fine, but the device looks hideous, and more importantly, the MS Windows OS is dismally slow. The rest of the devices are not even in contention, not even Nokia's E61 which is just a clunker. If you're looking for a decent business-class handheld, BB is pretty much the only one, but one hopes they'll offer 3G in their next model, and I'll be a satisfied camper.
Garbage Phone
Oct 15, 2007Rating: 1 out of 10 (Abysmal)
Pros: none
Cons: priced high, no 3g support, no flash web support
Opinion:
One of my friends own's this phone. Beware of it's lack of features and bad implementation of features.

Fantastic!
Sep 6, 2007Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Lightweight, slim, and bright screen. Loud ringtones.
Cons: Navigation needs time to get use to. GPS not pre-loaded.
Opinion:
Well, I just got it in Singapore. They launched it here in MobileOne about 4-5 days ago.
There is only one colour available: Black for the front and back; with silver accents on the side. Applications are similar to 8800 otherwise.
A good buy at $518 with contract for those who doesn't need the camera, but requires the wi-fi and GPS. Package comes with a swivel clip pouch, headset, and adapters. Oh, let's not forget the one year warranty.
