value for Mone

Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: Candy bar design, keypad for quick dialing, Touch screen, GPS, WM 6.0
Cons: Soft Alarm tones, sluggish at times
Opinion:
This is an excellent phone (I bought it India for S$ 330 equivalent). No slide key pads. The keypad is really useful for quick dialing (you will realise when you use it). decent camera. However the processor is underpowered so when I downloaded the SPB software (basic version comes withthe phone, but you can try out additional software from SPB site) phone became very sluggish. So i had to uninstall them.

You an not find a better phone in this price range. Only feature lacking is Wi-Fi. Had they included wi-fi this phone would have been a real winner.

Good value Quad band phone & GPS

Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Quad band unlocked GSM phone with GPS. Small size. Decent battery life. Character recognition software. MS Woed, Excel & Powe Point included.
Cons: The Microsoft Windows Mobile OS. Very disappointed with this OS. The PALM synch program is better. Address book not fully integrated with the navigation software.
Opinion:
I bought one at USD$430 in Taipei a month ago. I bought it for it's quad band unlocked GSM, Chinese character recognition software and GPS. Wi-Fi or 3G wasn¡¦t a factor. It¡¦s a great device for international travelers when both unlocked quad band phone and GPS are all in one device. It came loaded with TomTom Navigator 6 & Taiwan map. I¡¦ve also purchased USA & Canada map a couple of weeks ago and it loaded fine. I can write in MS Word compatible files while flying across the Pacific. No need to get the laptop out anymore. Once arrived into LAX, California map is only a few strokes away. I don¡¦t know if the RAM will be enough for future programs. I do have a 2GB micro SD installed right now for the map data and music files. Oh, yes it has a camera that I don¡¦t use ... Read more
