Asthetically apealing

Pros: Good for delicate handling
Cons: Typing while web browsing is not comfortable
Opinion:
Mobile is good to possess due to its handy appealing design. Touch display has some limitations and should have some ruggedness.

Within few weeks of usage, a problem occured. Left side 50% of display is not responding for dialing or writing.
Do not know, how to recover. Presently, I am using as a gadget for incoming purpose only.



 

Cool phone with a few problems and some cool features

Opinion:
I got this phone a few months ago. For the price, I think that it is a really good deal. I wanted a phone with a touch screen, because I find it hard to write e-mails and use calendar with regular phones. I used to use palmpilot for calendar, but did not want to carry two gadgets around. Even though this phone's calendar is not as sophisticated, it is just fine for me. Phone can also sync your outlook contacts and calendar (or with its own software that you can download), so you can easily create a backup of your numbers, enter info on your conputer, etc....
In general, the touch screen is really cool. Writing SMS and e-mails is much easier than with regular phone, since it has a full keyboard (you do not have to use the hand writing if you do not want to, it also has "virtual" keyboard, and a virtual keypad, if you ... Read more

i havent bought this phone yet but im getting mixed ideas about it.. the stylus thing is kinda confusing, im a textaholic but is there any buttons on the phoneE? how do you dial or text? its all touch? and what does the stylus exactly do? and is there any headphone jack at all?!

Echo problem solved

Cons: Callers get echo, short battery life
Opinion:
I love the phone (see previous review), but my friends hated the echo they would get when calling. Line was clear on my end. Apparently Samsung doesn't have a clue about this.
Anyway, for those who have this problem, it is to do with the HFR (harmonic-to fundamental ratio) setting. Here's th fix given by Presto on gsmarena.com/samsung_e890-reviews-1797.php:
Go to secret menu by typing *#8999*8378# and press green phone key. Then go to 2. H/W test, the to 2. Audio Settings, then 1. Normal, go down and find the HFR gain.
The original value for HFR gain on my phone is 12. Change it to 25. Save the change and the echo will go away.

 

Lovely Phone

Pros: Slim, light weight,touch-screen and nice majong game too.
Cons: No flash light, somehow it will heng, not much surpport on this phone.
Opinion:
I been looking for a nice phone and read through this model spec,but no regret to get tis model this is a very good phone which i been looking for,which have most of the function i want, only except flash light for camera.(I read the spec on Singapore Samsung website which mention it have flash and being amened after i call them!Only a saying sorry email after 2 week they amended.And was very disappointed on the service level also).
