Excellent slim phone
Mar 26, 2008Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Slim, Durable, Essential features
Cons: Weak battery life
Opinion:
I've owned this phone for almost a year now and have no real complaints except for the fact that the battery life leaves much to be desired. I use it minimally, yet I have to charge it every 2 days on average.
With that being said, it's a great phone, everything that I could ask for. It's a good size, and I love the fact that it's so slim. Fits into a guy's pants pocket really easily. Buttons are of a great size and spaced apart well. These are important features for me as I don't really care about Wifi, HSDPA, etc etc in my phone. As long as it can make calls, and it's easy to message, that's all that matters to me. The fact that this slim phone has Bluetooth (a must have feature nowadays in any phone) also works to its advantage as most users have a Bluetooth headset nowadays.
The interface is straightforward, ... Read more

Pros: good design and complete
Cons: batt life
Opinion:
I tried 8.4 for 1 week. Overalls 8.4 is a complete phone. 3G, camera, music player, speaker, boetooth, sms, mms, voice call . . It's Okay no problem. Good quality and complete 3G phone under USD. 200. I think 8.4 is a pretty phone for young woman
The slim and unpractical
Oct 2, 2007Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: wonder that it can pack so many features in its slim frame
Cons: pathethic software and durability
Opinion:
It is overall ok fro a phone so slim but I beg to differ on how durable it is. Just after a fall, there was crack on the phone running from the dege of the lcd to the socket and the phone simply died. I had to send it for repair for 5 days before it was reapired. The phone features, especially the camera was rather clear but the sound, as heard from the earphones is not very clear. It could have been more durable and it features, more perfected.
Slim ,get hot can use as basic phone and for music

Excellent small phone

Pros: Slim but strong, good quality screen
Cons: Navigation is a bit awkward, no iSync for Mac
Opinion:
The phone is very small and light....no question about that.
The number pad is relatively easy to use, but the arrow keys can be trouble if you have big thumbs (probably even if you don't have big thumbs).
I have used it in Singapore, China, Japan, Korea, USA, Malaysia, UK....no problems at all. Switch to local SIM card and no problems.
In 3G areas the battery lasts a few days. In GSM it lasts a little more than a day.
The Samsung software for the PC leaves a lot to be desired, though. I tried to use it on a PC and it was pretty basic. I primarily use a Mac and this phone does not have iSync support nor does MissingSync claim to support it.
But if you want a slim, strong phone without all of the bells and whistles that you can use all over the world easily then ... Read more
