A good phone at an even better price
Jan 10, 2007Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: 3G, all the needed functions, good price
Cons: problems with pc software, no radio
Opinion:
It's a great phone at an even better price. i don't see value in spending money for high resolution camera with flashlight, since i own a digicam anyway... so why waste $$?! That's why i am glad that the phone only comes with a 2 mp camera with no flash.. so saved costs! All the functions meet my needs. The camera is decent, even indoors.
I tried to install the pc software, didn't really manage to get it working properly, but i found my way around it by loading the files directly to the memory card. The only important drawback is that it doesn't have a radio and the keypad seems a lil bit cramped.
Get this if you want louder, good-sounding phone to play your most favorite music.
Jan 3, 2007Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: leight weight, higher-response time when navigating in and out, sound qaulity is excellent
Cons: poor picture quality, no radio, its plastic covers seem to slip off my hand most of the time
Opinion:
If your're lookin for a phone that can take excellent photos, go for k800i.
Jack-of-all-trade phone @ka Average all-rounder
Dec 26, 2006Rating: 5 out of 10 (Average)
Pros: Practically has every feature you can possibly find and need
Cons: Nothing special or outstanding
Opinion:
Note: I have used this for less than a week and these are my observations over the short period. My previous phones were mainly Siemens phones. Zero Nokia experience.
The K618i has almost every function that you can find on phones, but does not have the ooomph to make it outstanding. Example1: It has a 2MP camera but no flash. Photos are quite fuzzy too. Example2: It can play music (mp3 files) but no radio. Sound quality is only average.
There are many little things that makes this phone only an average but I found out these little things are standard Sony features like no volume control for SMS ringtones, no alphabet count on SMS message, does not allow more than 20 recipients for multiple SMS, cannot assign ringtone by group/ category, etc...
If you were to ask me what I like about the phone, I can't really tell off hand. Maybe the candybar design. Otherwise, it is just like ... Read more
Good phone
Oct 24, 2006Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Simple and nice 3G phone. Cheap.
Cons: No Radio. No optical zoom.
Opinion:
Bought the phone today. I'm quite satisfied with this phone other than it doesn't have radio and the camera has no zoom! can't really take good photos without the zoom. Get the phone if you want a cheap and simple 3G phone.
