Perfect if not for the poor battery life
Jan 6, 2008Rating: 6 out of 10 (Good)
Pros: Slim and sleek design, easy navigation, large keys, bright screen, excellent sound quality
Cons: Poor battery life
Opinion:
I've had this phone for a year now and it would've been perfect if not for the poor battery life. The box includes an extra battery though but for someone always on the go, bringing and having to change the batt when it runs out can be a hassle.
The good thing about the phone though is that it's very simple to use and doesn't have too many useless features packed in it. It has all the basics plus the display and sound quality is superb. It's a very slim flip phone that feels solid in your hand, and the glossy black color, which is really an eye catcher.
I'm about to get rid of the phone because of the lousy battery but I hope that Samsung comes out with a more powerful battery for it.
good phone indeed!!!!!!!

Pros: Fantastic! Super high speed transmission! Good picture shooting. Good speaker sound. Elegant outlook
Cons: Unable to play background music. Quality of headset sound can be improved.
Opinion:
HSDPA technology that can transmit data at speeds up to six times faster than the 3G network
Built in intelligent touch screen, allowed user to play music without flipping the hand phone
Dissapointing

Pros: Very good display and sound clarity, very attractive form
Cons: Very lousy OS.......
Opinion:
This is the first and the last Samsung phone I'll ever buy.
Good points:
- Very good display screen
- Sound clarity and quality is the best I've ever heard compared to Nokia or Sony Ericsson
- HSDPA
- Very attractive hardware design, slim and cool looking
Let Downs:
- OS is very lousy..
- SMSing takes quite a long time, because when you create an sms and chooses the names from the phone book it takes quite some time. takes quite a lot of hassles
- If you want to attach a personal ringtone for a contact, you have to move the tone to the phone??? Can't access from memory card directly, which leaves very little memory on the phone
- can't change the alarm tone from those on the memory card
- sms messages go to sim card first and not the phone...... very odd....
- Camera ... Read more
Poor OS and Intergration
Dec 17, 2006Rating: 3 out of 10 (Poor)
Pros: HSDPA fast. Buttons responsive.
Cons: Lousy onboard browser, cannot be changed. Limited options in the phone interface. OS does little.
Opinion:
The internet browser is terrible on the phone. Takes a good 20 secs to start up and it cannot load many webpages. I even tried installing Opera Mini onto the phone and the OS didn't allow it to connect to the internet. Oh and i tried installing Gmail mobile onto the phone too, it hangs on 'loading'. I think i'm going to get a symbian or windows os phone next time. Samsung really cannot compare to nokia or sony ericsson when it comes to usability and connectivity. For just a few more bucks you could get better phones (N80 internet edition, E61, etc ,etc). I can't believe i wasted money on this. Sigh.
