amazing fashioned phone for men
Oct 16, 2006Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: lightweight, superior & macho design, vivid color.
Cons: no FM radio, no external memory
Opinion:
I have used this phone for 4 months and never feel better than now. Many samsung users in Indonesia but I can't find other people use this phone. I feel that samsung made this phone only for me.
Voice quality and ringers are average. Photo quality and its vivid color screen are excellent. The lack of radio and external memory could be understood due to its extreme thin size.
Eye-catcher
Oct 6, 2006Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Unique design, large and clear screen, well-tailored leather case
Cons: No memory expansion, no FM radio, ringing tone volume low, weird positioning a buttons
Opinion:
This is a unique phone, there's no similar-looking one in the market. Oh, unless you're looking at the solar-powered-calculator-market.
The screen is large and resolution is great. The camera also takes very good photos. So far, I have no problems with calls and SMS. The leather case is well-tailored and looks very pleasing.
Ok, now the drawbacks of the phone, no memory expansion and only 80+ MB internal memory. So I guess you can store a dozen of MP3 songs and (only) 200 photos you have taken with the phone camera. No FM radio (what the....!). Relatively low volume, its ringing tone, and there seems to be nothing I can do with it. And the numberpad is missing a 4th row, so I need time to get used to remembering the "*", "#" and "0" are on the left and right side instead.
I got this at $438 from Singtelshop recently. I still think it's a bit ... Read more
Useless for business
Jul 20, 2006Rating: 3 out of 10 (Poor)
Pros: small, good conversation piece for a while
Cons: great piece of jewelry, terrible phone
Opinion:
I really wanted to liek this phone, the design is visually excellent and small is good but after persisting for a month I've ditched it. Walking around town with the phone in my pocket I missed 4 calls in an hour, ducked into a store and bought another phone.
You simply can't use it for business if every call could be an important one.
I was reduced to keeping the my bluetooth headset in my ear 8 hours a day but who needs that.
Think I'm going to give it to my hamster.
8800? whats that??
Jul 16, 2006Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: thin, metal construction, conversation starter
Cons: looks, no external memory
Opinion:
before i got the X820, this phone was the BOMB! thin, sleek and calculator looks, its a beauty in the eyes of the beholder scenario. get a while to get used to SMS on. camera produces good quality pictures but the flash is lacking in BLING as it doesn't really help in the dark. its good for checking cinema seats though. if SAMSUNG is reading this, WHAT ABOUT A MEMORY SLOT?! PLEASE???! ring tone is softer than most but being so thin and light, put this in your shirt pocket and you can hear this phone play mp3 / acr tracks. to start a conversation with a total stranger, whip out this beauty and get questions. a phone for a person who likes hassle free usage. dump the leather casing if you want thin but use it when you need to go abroad and lazy to bring your charger.
Is one of those phones that stylist wish to get hold onto

Pros: Space saver.
Cons: Hardly hear the ringing/msg tone.Perhaps meant for the super hearing
Opinion:
Flat. Real flat.Battery is alright.Function is alright too.No complaints. However, the tones are some what too sissy.Hardly hear anything during out doors. If it meant for business usage, think twice.Had 90% missed call/msg during out-door.
