Good phone!

Pros: vivid lcd, good mp3, easy to use buttons, bluetooth, compact design
Cons: short battery life, no date or time for texts sent, USB1.1, no expansion slot
Opinion:
I bought this mainly because of its clamshell design. I have been using candybar phones for the past 10 years (from another manufacturer). So far, I am very happy with it and have no regrets in buying this new baby of mine (but I hope they do something about having no date or time text messages were sent).

Pros: The size, the looks and the bright display!
Cons: Limited On-board memory and not-so-bright flash
Opinion:
I have this phone and aside from the limited on-board memory (well pc connection is possible anyway) and the not-so-bright flash (on this, there's nothing I can do), I think this clamshell phone is just perfect. Just to comment on people saying they can't connect it to their pc, what the heck are you doing? install the software click the pim manager app and click the file manager button. That's it! It's so simple. I surely like this phone so i don't have plans of changing just yet. Maybe in the near future with the likes of this phone, plus 3g, addt'l pixels, strong flash and external memory.

 

Help for the pc suite

Hi sephyra. I hope that this will help you with your pc suite dilemma. I actually had the same problem, with the PIM Manager saying that the phone is offline. I hope that the following steps will solve the problem:

1. Make sure that the following are installed in your computer: PIM Manager, PC Sync, and USB Driver. It's in the samsung installation CD. You don't have to install the samples.
2. Here's the tricky part. First open your PC sync. Double-click on the small icon on your taskbar (the one where your clock/time and day shows).
3. The PC Sync window will show. Click on Settings.
4. Click on phone monitor settings. You can put the name of your phone there.
5. Next, click on the COM ports tab. Make sure that the status are all disabled and the reserved column says ... Read more

this phone is cool. but i think that the pgone memory is too small. maybe they should increase the memory or have a extra memory card. and i intend to buy it. it is cool .. really !
