Solid semi-PDA-phone
Sep 6, 2007Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: Supp. high vid. resolution (even 6-series won't), bluetooth etc.
Cons: Size & weight, sluggish OS, no WiFi & GPS.
Opinion:
Using it for nearly 1 year, a fairy good semi-PDA-phone indeed.
good, but not perfect
Aug 21, 2007Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: all in one phone
Cons: bulky, ring tone problem, camera slider, calendar software
Opinion:
been using mine for almost 3 years. bought it at that time because it's the only 3G phone available (need it for my trip to Japan)
build quality is good, solid & tough. no serious hardware problem so far. the camera slider need improvement tough so it will not slide unintentionally.
on the software side, got this annoying ring tone problem, Nokia customer service can't correct them after several updates.
the calendar (organizer) software also not as good as the older model, it's complicated but not functional.
Dont buy
Jul 25, 2007Rating: 4 out of 10 (Mediocre)
Pros: Good sound quality; good program configuration
Cons: Phone hibernates, misses a lot of calls during hibernation.
Opinion:
I could have a defective phone but who knows. Once in a while the phone is working 24 hours then goes in hibernation and bit sluggish to come back. At times I have to take out battery and power on to make a call.
A fairly good phone
Jun 1, 2007Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: 3G, dual hi-quality camera, Bluetooth, screen resolution, Music player, sound quality
Cons: Slow, keypad, battery life, PC suite
Opinion:
Bought the phone last week hoping this one Nokia has already rectified the bugs issue. So far got no problem using it except for the slow OS response at times, it's irritating when you're on the go oftentimes. Burn the Symbian OS! Lift the Nokia OS!
Keypad arrangement is a bit tight, not good for those who have fat fingers!
The phone eats a lot on battery power within a day if you're a music buff and average use of SMS and calls.
The phone is user friendly but using its PC suite is not, and is very frustrating. I have also a Samsung's slimmest phone but installing and using its PC suite is a breeze.
A great combination of almost everything!
