Pros: Sleek design
Cons: Lousy battery life reduces this to a land-line
Opinion:
The design was what attracted me to this piece of junk. Lack of features, I can forgive, even at this price. But the fact is that I was supposed to have purchased a MOBILE phone. The battery drain & the battery indicator that doesn't really indicate anything was too much. For my 8800, the battery indicator was either full, in which case the phone refuses to charge. Or it was empty, in which case the phone turns off. In areas of weak signal strength (like where I work), it goes from full to zero in about 5-10 mins of conversation. When you turn the phone back on again, the indicator registers full battery! Of course, the next incoming call shuts it back down in 5 secs.
7 visits to the service centre didn't help.
If I have to leave the phone in the desktop charger permanently, only to have 5-10 mins of conversation before it turns off, I'd be better ... Read more

Sep 15, 2006Rating: 10 out of 10 (Perfect)
Pros: Stylish design
Cons: Short batetry life.
Opinion:
Well this phone is meant to be a stylish phone not a function phone so those who complain about camera and memory well i would say get a camera. Pior to this i was using the Gigabyte G Cam which is a CCD 5mp cam phone. I still wasnt happy with the phone. Nk8800 is diff , it had the style i wanted. Well only complains is the battery life. Also a few small bugs which i can forgive due to the superb stylish design. Updated my firmware to the latest V04.16. Dated 14 - 08 - 06 . Go get it. It has fewer bugs then the previous. Lovin it
In terms of looks, It doesn't get any better than the 8800
Aug 16, 2006Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Looks, Feels great.
Cons: Battery Life
Opinion:
The reason why i have rated the Nokia 8800 a spectacular 9 out of 10 is because this is a truly unique phone. The only drawback you will have of owning one is the battery life which is the only reason why i did not give it a 10. The only reason you would want to own one is if you intend to show off with it because it is truly eye-catching. Want can i say, its a really beautiful phone.
Great Phone

Pros: Everything
Cons: Poor Battery Life

The click of the closing mechanism reminicent of the clinck of the St.DuPont lighters. Truly a great phone. Hope Nokia continues with the 8800 series. Looking forward to newer models.
