May 28, 2006Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: (1) Vivid, crisp display, (2) Voice clarity during phone calls, (3) Design, (4) Features
Cons: No profiles, MP3s can't be used for message tones
Opinion:
I recently bought this unit and I must say, it is a unit beyond my expectations. The first thing that struck me with this phone is its display. It is far more vivid than the display of my N70. Another thing that I like about this phone is its camera. Even in low light conditions, it is able to capture above average images, which I can't get in my N70 (a lot of noise). However, the speakers volume is too soft when using the music player without the headphone. Sound quality is pretty good, except that, when you turn it to its maximum volume, there's a little distortion... It's pretty easy to navigate through the phone menus. It's also weird that there are no profiles incorporated in Samsung units. I guess that's their style. Another thing is that MP3s can only be assigned to voice calls but NOT text messages. Overall, this is a very good phone. If you're looking ... Read more
Questions for Samsung D600 users
May 11, 2006Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Quadband, Egg slider, good features plus tv-output and document viewer
Cons: short battery life, no lens cover for camera
Opinion:
Can anybody tell me is 2MP camera is clearer than K750i and MP3 is better than W800i. I read some websites saying that but i will be very honest if someone tells me the real answer. I have not confirm but to buy this phone. I am not sure why people saying this phone is so lousy and just shut up your big mouth. As soon as possible for those who know the answers for these questions.
Jewel of a Mobile Phone - Samsung convert
May 6, 2006Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Very bright and crystal clear resoultion. Layout simple to navigate.
Cons: Nothing too bad to consider a "Con" yet.
Opinion:
Was looking to get a Sony Ericsson K750i or Motorola V3i to replace my office issued standard phone (I also carry an Eten M600), when I was persuaded to try the Samsung SGH-D600. Now I'm a convert!
Been used to Nokia for the pass 9 years, hated any other phones I tried, till this. This is easy to navigate, the SUPER clear resolution makes it very pleasing to use. 3D sound is refreshing, though I should say Sony does a better job in this area.
As a whole, I'm very impressed with Samsung. Nokia with its very dated designs are so "has-been", Sony and Motorola have been dishing out many eye-candies; but Samsung has truly done it for me.
(Only complain is that there's perhaps a few steps too many when sending messages or executing functions, but that's perhaps that I'm too used to Nokia functions).
A perfect phone..
