CNET Asia Review
Very good
The good: Improved keypad; full range of wireless options; 3.5mm audio port; 8GB internal memory and microSD card slot; good build quality. View score
The bad: User interface can be better; Ovi Store still immature; battery life not great with live updates activated; expensive.
The bottom line: Though its screen is smaller and internal storage reduced compared with the original N97, the improvements in form factor more than make up for it.

Nokia N97 Mini
Nov 16, 2009Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Cute, robust, compact, nice to hold
Cons: Some bugs with its firmware, stereo speakers are squeeky
Opinion:
I have used the 9210, 6600, 6623, N95 and now this N97 which I just bought on 09 Nov.
I like this phone for the following reasons:
a] it is cute, compact and nice to hold
b] it doesn't creak when I pressed the sides
c] the colours are vibrant and a conversation piece
d] the Garmin works very well as it can acquire the signals reasonably fast in my car although it has been tinted with V-cool. I need to open my car window and put out my Besta GPS-88 for it to work.
However, every good thing has its downside and I have experienced the following:
1] If I set my alarm, switched off the phone for the night and switched on just before the alarm went off the next morning, the phone would hang after the PIN has been keyed ie before the security code.
2] sometimes the keyguard switch doesn't work ... Read more
