The bad: Tiny alphanumeric keypad makes it a pain to type on; occasional laggy interface; slow shutter lag.
The bottom line: The Arena trounces the iPhone 3G in terms of features, but can't beat the latter when it comes to usability.

Nov 7, 2009Rating: 1 out of 10 (Abysmal)
Pros: none
Cons: too many

Jun 5, 2009Rating: 5 out of 10 (Average)
Pros: Matching up with iphone on interfaces, sturdy form and loads of functions
Cons: No download of 3rd party programes, sluggish camera speed, not full support browser
Opinion:
Went to try out a few time. The form and promised loads of function is appealing, esp music comes with Dolby sounds and large enough screen size.
The home page is intuitive but found that it served little purpose except a candy in the eyes.
Speed between switching to other pages and application is considered ok, but could be chorus is you are in hurry to find something. Esp when looking for photos.
The turning from portrait to landscape is slow and not too sensitive. The sales person was shaking to get the phone to recognise "we had turned you".
I had asked LG about if the browser support all website browsing such as Facebook and some gaming sites. The answer is a disappointing "no". Reason giving was orientation and page may not be fully compatible and game may not run.
Also tested on the camera, saving between shots is about 4~5 seconds lag. After ... Read more
Very poor
Jun 3, 2009Rating: 3 out of 10 (Poor)
Pros: bright screen and 3.5mm headphones socket
Cons: Slow response, not very touch sensitive, not able to use multi applications
Opinion:
I use to own a HTC Diamond and thought i the would try the Arena. I have had the LG for 2 weeks now. I found the phone to be very slow. I couldnt play music from my SD Card via the albums, it read it as one continous album of 2000 songs and not the 30 albums that i had. i found changing applications to be slow, even thouugh the applications have been installed already. For example every time i went to my pictures it would take upto 10 secs to open the albums. pressing keys was difficult and every time i went into contacts or if i edited it, it would start from A again rather than go back to the contact i had tried to edit, or the next contact. Overall i didnt find it too user friendly and felt the response was slow. ... Read more
