The good: Excellent voice quality; 3.5mm audio jack; great build quality; 3-megapixel camera with autofocus and LED.

The bad: Inconsistencies in the user interface; heavy; lacks high-resolution display; trackball could be better.

The bottom line: Not everyone will like the design of the A3100, but Motorola shows it can make a good smartphone even though it hasn't been in this space for some time.

Very nice phone

Rating: 10 out of 10 (Perfect)
Pros: Size, features, Motorola Special virtual keypad
Cons: Very light and too soft on hands
Opinion:
This is a very nice phone. Nice features. I am surprised why motorola is not marketing this phone well. It is the best smart phone i have used so far. Very nice features, very handy, it has the latest windows version, The large keypad makes it very easy to type on the move with hands. The stylus is stepped which enable to have it short size and long size. The Conversation history tracking for SMS is awesome.. i love it.. Altogether its a wonderful phone.. go get it...

The coolest phone ... Grab it ..

Rating: 10 out of 10 (Perfect)
Pros: Light weight. it has everything that you need ...
Cons: it is too smooth to be held in hand - A bit rough texture would have been better.
Opinion:
Its an awesome phone from motorola... finally after long waiting. Sturdy, perfect size, it has all the features that you need for a day to day life. With google maps .. the GPS works awesome. The jog ball controls are cool. It also houses BT60 battery. It is a really fantastic product after MotoQ. I got this through starhub, M1 also carries this I heard. It has a biz card reader, 3.5mm jack provision for headset. ..

Great!

Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Lightweight for a WM phone
Cons: Trackball pretty useless, 3MP cam. WM OS.
Opinion:
I was expecting this phone to be at least a thousand dollars or so especially since it was said to be running on WM 6.1. But I got this phone and have been pretty impressed with the plug-in from Motorola.

Without the plug-in, the device is obviously another WM device. Typical tiny fonts, not finger friendly.

To kill all rumors and uncertain replies from the staff, this device has the Wi-Fi function. Both M1 and Starhub are both carrying this mobile at the moment; always give them a call before heading down to the outlets to avoid any kind of embarrasment or disappointment.

Crystaltalk software - I'm not so sure, but with my Plantronis Discovery 925 (as a comparison for call quality), it seem the Motorola A3100 has some kind of technology for optimising calls, similar to the software onboard the Plantronics device.

Battery wise, I am very impressed. From my initial charge till now, with ... Read more
