The bad: Lack of 3G; camera could be better; no 3.5mm headphone jack.
The bottom line: This is what the original HTC Touch should have been all along. HTC's Touch Viva is a snappy device that does the basics well, although it lacks high-end features. If you're a gadget freak, steer clear, but if you just want to check your emails on the go, it's worth checking out.

Pros: Speed
Cons: Movie
Opinion:
Dear 'zleaze', You have given a nice review. Can you please clarify about the video playing abilities. Does it take long time to buffer and spoil the joy of watching movies?
Excellent entry Level PDA
Mar 9, 2009Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Very good internet connection, Good grip and not too ladylike (like HTC Diamond)
Cons: Alarm is repetitive/nonstop, Camera is basic but who cares? No 3.5mm jack but just get a bluetooth headphone.
Opinion:
I've had a DellX51V PDA bought over 2 years ago and considering it was a model with a graphic card(& 624Mhz speed) overall it was a disappointment.
Yet for an entry level PDA with only 201Mhz speed it goes to show how much PDA technology has developed.Simply with GPRS connection i can get Youtube, email, weather report,GPS,that i am anxious to get my first phone bill. I am seriously considering upgrading my phone package to include unlimited broadband.Sure, playing movie file it might buffer every few minutes but not too annoying. Lack of 3G is not an issue i don't have many friends who are willing to pay for the service!
It has the right amount of "I-Phone" gimmick(TouchFlo) but not too much.Love it...love it...love it!!1
