The good: Slim and stylish design; solid build quality; full range of wireless features; works right out of the box; snappy performance; excellent battery life.

The bad: Counter-intuitive camera autofocus; media browser could do with a little upgrade; Easy Dial feature not available.

The bottom line: The Nokia E71 is easily one of the best QWERTY smart phones that combine strong features as well as a good balance between business and entertainment, at a competitive price.

Not worth the price

Rating: 6 out of 10 (Good)
Pros: Sleek looking and solid feel
Cons: Poor camera and poor music player
Opinion:
Ok, I bought this phone because I need better connection and faster speed for surfing internet. I am very satisfied with the fast loading of internet pages and ease of scrolling.

Smsing needs some getting use to as the phone has a qwerty keypad. Not a problem after a week of usage, but still could not sms without having to look at the keypad.

Camera is really bad at 3.2megapixel only. Very disappointing on this not so low end phone.

Music player on the loudspeaker is quite good. Rather rich sounds with strong base. Better than my previous Sony Ericsson walkman phone. However, plug in the standard earpiece, you get a disappointing flat, bassless music. I then bought an adapter, so that i can use my Senheiser earpiece on it. The result was even more disappointing. As the Senheiser earpiece was so clear and precise, it captured all the noise that came out of the music ... Read more

Good things really come in small package.

Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: User Friendly, Good interface.
Cons: keyboard could have been spacious like bold.
Opinion:
Very easy to operate. Had a 9500 communicator earlier. E71 is so light compared to the 9500 that sometimes I am not sure whether I am carrying it...

Good buy

Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Excellent battery life, Good size, All necessary software
Cons: Some installation of software prohibited because of Symbian system
Opinion:
It is a good phone to have, unfortunately, nokia has updates which tend to mess up the phone specs set for one before update.
