CNET Asia Review
Very good
The good: Rugged handset design; excellent calling and messaging; onboard GPS with maps. 7
out of 10View score
The bad: Cyber-shot camera below our expectations; poor battery life; Assisted-GPS needs to track data usage.
The bottom line: There's a lot to like about the C702, sadly the Cyber-shot camera is not part of this list. People hunting for a rugged mobile phone will rejoice at this compact and attractive option.

Mar 18, 2009Rating: 1 out of 10 (Abysmal)
Pros: none
Cons: none
Opinion:
Great attention to this phone! After 2 months of normal use, the silver color on the case is going... And you will not solve anything if you use the service as solution, will say: because of normal wear take paint! SonyEricsson not want to admit that it was a manufacturing defect ........... And u can do nothing to change the phone or to get the money back!
Worst phone ever.
Jan 18, 2009Rating: 2 out of 10 (Terrible)
Pros: None.
Cons: Keypad freezes constantly, Automatically switch off on it's own sometimes, Tiny keypads, Camera is of bad quality.
Opinion:
I do not recommend anyone to buy this phone. This phone causes so much problems as it freezes most of the time. Very laggy. Automatically turns off and restart on it's own sometimes. The keypads are hard to type. The phone functions are just alright. Worst phone i've ever used.
looks good on paper
Oct 14, 2008Rating: 3 out of 10 (Poor)
Pros: good set of features for average user
Cons: camera has zoom only in VGA resolution. Bad fit.
Opinion:
The phone looks good in pictures and the spec sheet. The handset that I bought had panel gaps - so much for the dust and splash resistant body panels! The service people took more than two months to get a replacement panel to fix the panel gap - so much for prompt service backup. I hope some of the bosses at Sony Ericsson read this.
The camera is atmost disappointing with zoom possible only in VGA resolution. I wonder how many people take VGA resolution pictures with a 3 MP camera resulting in a Cybershot camera without zoom. The image quality is positive. Painful / uncomfortable ear-phones add to the woes.
