The good: Unique morphing keypad; 3.5mm headset jack; 2GB onboard memory with microSD expansion card slot; Bluetooth stereo.

The bad: Need to remove battery to get to card slot; glossy surface picks up fingerprints easily; new keypad may not be everyone's cup of tea.

The bottom line: The ROKR E8 may be a decent music player, but as a phone it is not impressive.

Great Music Phone

Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Touch sensitive jog dial, fm radio, led keypad, stylish, nice camera, a bunch of useful applications
Cons: somewhat difficulty in texting/sms
Opinion:
I own one, and it is a joy to have. It has a nice fm radio, music player, has a bunch of useful applications such as document readers, calculator, converter, somewhat office applications, is a joy to listen especially if you purchase the Motorola wireless headset HT820. The only fault of this phone is when you are texting/sms, buttons are too sensitive.

Not bad, although I expected more...

Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: Unique style, looks real handsome, mode-shift, haptics
Cons: Slow, mono speaker, not 3G, no ring AND vibrate option
Opinion:
Moto could have made this phone better than the competition had it been faster and more user-friendly. Having built a phone with high-tech features, they sadly missed out on what's more important like why can't the phone ring AND vibrate at the same time??? The menu option is either just ring or ring THEN vibrate!!! Amazing how they could fit in tech we've never seen before and miss out on other extremely simple functions. A firmware upgrade should be cooked up by Motorola to address this very basic but also very important function (PAGING MOTOROLA!!!). And come on, for this price range, one can get a 3G (or even HSDPA) capable handset! EDGE only???

As for it's brag-worthy music side, it's okay... Not perfect, but it gets the job done. Moto could have made it easier for users though. Maybe they should take a page from SE's handbook?

Bottom line, the E8 tries to be the jack-of-all-trades ... Read more

Opinion:
This phone is cool ... but the main thing got lacked in this phone is its display size which is very small . But I like the wunique style of using a touch screen instead of buttons .
