The bad: No 3G; camera module doesn't come with built-in flash; microSD expansion card slot behind battery.
The bottom line: Without the dual-SIM feature, the D880 is pretty much an everyday-phone--it doesn't excite. Nor would it disappoint.

Simply dissapointing as dual sim phone
Feb 15, 2009Rating: 2 out of 10 (Terrible)
Pros: simultaneous dual sim recieving call
Cons: horrible battery or rarther batteries
Opinion:
i keep traveling between UAE and Oman and it helps me to keep one mobile with 2 sim sounds sensible. But when D880 batteries fail i carry 3 all the time !And also it was tough time getting original from the dealer.Abolutely no home work done while designing dual sim phone as battery drain is can you believe maximum 4 calls incoming and out going on average time of 3 minutes only.I will never advice anyone to buy this product.I find internet also slaw.PC synch is horrible it copies names no nos how disgusting.
Best dual phone
Nov 9, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: dual sim
Cons: battery
Opinion:
I've bought this model just for the dual sim capability in order to take advantage from the different pricing policies between mobile phones companies.
The quality of the material is not the best but is quite acceptable. The battery cover could be much more stiff and firm. I've realised that it has a very good camera in daylight shots. The camera mode is activated really fast in this model. The camera functions are plenty and very usefull. As with most mobile phones the shots in dark place are poor. Its menus are very simplyfied and easy. I find very good the calendar and the internet browser. In addition if you install the java opera mini 4.1 you'll have a very powerfull browser, compatible with nearly every site in internet.
What I find in general bad is the battery consuption. Under a mediocre usage I've to charge it at least every two days. However there is some solutions about that.

not for use in USA
Oct 23, 2008Rating: 5 out of 10 (Average)
Pros: good solid built, smooth slider, bright clear screen, dual SIM
Cons: cannot use dual SIM in USA
Opinion:
I bought this phone for its dual SIM function. Worked perfectly well in th Phils. However, when I brought it to the U.S.(Los Angeles,California), only one SIM is enabled at a time. And to use either of the 2 SIMs, you have to reboot, which takes around a minute. It seems the dual SIM function is not for the US market. Maybe it has something to do with its triband(800/1800/1900)/dual-band(800/1800) setup
