9 FROM 10
Jun 2, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: THE BEST NOKIA PHONE DESIGN IN 8800 SERIES, THE BEST SPEAKER QUALITY,THE BEST VOICE QUALITY AFTER VERTU ACCENT
Cons: NO EXTENDED MEMORY CARD, NO FLASH FOR THE CAMERA, NO 3 G VIDEO CALL, I CAN ONLY HEAR WITH STEREO BLUETOOTH HEADSET
Opinion:
FROM ALL NOKIA 8800 SERIES, THE 8800 SAPHIRE ARTE IS THE BEST DESIGN AND BUILD.
I LOVE THE SOUND QUALITY FROM THE SPEAKER, I CAN HEAR MUSIC VERY DETAIL AND CLEAR FROM SO SMALL SPEAKER.
THE PROBLEM I CAN NOT TURN THE VOLUME TO LOUD, THIS IS NOT THE BIG PROBLEM, BECAUSE THE SPEAKER IS SO SMALL AND LOUD ENOUGH FOR EASY LISTENING.
I CAN ONLY HEAR THE MUSIC WITH THE STEREO BLUETOOTH HEADSET, THE PROBLEM I CAN NOT FIND VERY GOOD STEREO BLUETOOTH HEADSET ON THE MARKET NOW.
THIS THE BEST VOICE PHONE FROM NOKIA AFTER VERTU ACCENT THAT I HAVE TOO.
THE PHONE IS SMALL ENOUGH TO PUT IN MY POCKET.
INTERNET SURFING WITH MINI OPERA SOFTWARE IS VERY GOOD.
Nice looking luxury phone

Pros: Stylish, Elegant, Light Weight
Cons: Cannot add additional memory, battery does not last long, expensive
Opinion:
I do not have this unit. I had it's predecessor the first Nokia 8800. The first time I bought it I was exhilirated. It was the "in" phone then. But as I got to know the phone, I found out that there was no slot for additional memory card. Which was a bummer. Secondly, the battery does not last long, after it's six month warranty period is over. It would be full bar the time you on it, then by midday it would be dead already, after a call or two. Even if it has an extra battery at hand, I would not reccommend this phone to people who need to be on the phone most of the time. Although it's fashionable, elegant and lightweight, the factors mentioned plus the expensive price tag side, I would not reccommend this phone. I originally was a Motorola user, but switched to Nokia ... Read more
