CNET Asia Review

out of 10View score
The bad: No HSDPA; QWERTY keyboard takes some getting used to; thin stylus; requires optional accessory to use standard headphones.
The bottom line: The P series is now slim and compact but still remains feature-packed for business users. Those considering one will just have to get used to the uncommon space-saving keyboard layout.

Maybe Not Be The Best But Still Reliable
Apr 21, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: 3.2Mega, HandWriting Reg, More Interative
Cons: Battery Life, Qwerty Keypad, Lack of 3.5G
Opinion:
Ever Since Sony Ericsson P1i has release, the feel and look has proven us that it is solid and professional. Indeed Sony Ericsson has not been upgrading themselves by adding alot of features well that doesn't affect their phones even ederly also using p1i that i am shock..
Nokia has been proving that they are the most features phones. Where else many peoples using Sony Ericsson think they are need Nokia phones with lot of features because not everyone need it plus with all this latest features it just a killer for the phones who are heavy user and youngster who like to download alot of app and media which causes it to be bery unstable.
P1i may not be the best but it a good try if you like to have Chinese handwriting for fast sms or looking for something that meet your need and not expensive pda p1i u might want to consider..
Good Smartphone but fails to deliver ...

Pros: Qwerty Keypad, 3.2mp Camera, Wifi, Slim Design, Touchscreen
Cons: Poor Speaker Output, No TV Output, lack of Edge/HSDPA, Slow Processor, Lack of Applications, Mediocre Battery Life, No GPS
Opinion:
The P1i is indeed a very decent Smartphone when it comes to design. The touchcreen function is awesome and probably the only PDA type Smartphone out there which packs a good 3.2mp Camera. However, the one thing SonyEricsson does not do well is to ensure this continued success of the product as it fails to deliver on the specifications which are out there with other competitors. I've always tossed about comparing the P1i with the N95. Both phones have their plus points and drawbacks. However, N95 does indeed prove to be a more worthy smartphone choice than the P1i in many areas.
The P1i is a great business phone which is priced very competitive but it does not do well in the multimedia side. The phone has poor audio playback quality etc (refer to my Cons). This can be deciding factors in chosing the right phone today. With the price about S$120 difference with N95 (Classic), this could ... Read more
