CNET Asia Review

The bad: Typing on the wide keyboard can be tiring after a long while; no fax capability; camera's shutter button doesn't perform up to par.
The bottom line: Strong features and a relatively compact form factor make the E90 Communicator one of the best smart phones in the market today.

Best smartphone on the market
May 10, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Performance and build quality
Cons: Size
Opinion:
I have worked my way through a number of smartphones and the E90 is probably the best on the market currently. Rock solid operating system, excellent battery life and a premium build quality.
The screen quality is simply stunning and is fully visible in the brightest direct sunlight (unlike many other smartphones!).
The camera has received a few criticisms but having used it I can vouch for its quality. Very crisp and well exposed picture at all light levels.
It is a large phone but that's largely down to the build materials and the fold out keyboard which makes e mail very fast and easy.
Sound quality is excellent with two large speakers and the ring tones using 3D sounds are simply stunning!
The only negatives I can think of are not being able to charge via the mini usb socket (cmon Nokia!) and the placement of the power button as if you use ... Read more
Update...! Nokia E90 now regular price is $720.00 at DELL!--April 9, 2008---Overall a 9+
Apr 9, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Quality build, wide inner screen, long battery life, fixed two manufacturer recalls of the screen and noise on the call feature!
Cons: Qwerty pad could use some night lighting increases, overall nothing else.
Opinion:
This device is an all in one wonder in practicality, filled with working technologies unfound in any other curent PDA on the market. This device has a long battery life, solid feel, great web connect in all areas and 3G also!.
I have used the Treo, Sony...,HTC, Apple I phone, E-TEN X500+,Palm Treo, Imate all series...,Samsung I760,T-Mobile wing,HP Ipaq 200,600, Motorola Q 9m (built great but slow performance, no wi-fi which all lack the Nokia E90 features.
Negatives--No fax!--With the way the E90 is configured there is no need. If needed there is second party fax programs that work here!
I carry a mini computer laptop with me at all times in my vehicle, however the Nokia E90 is on my persons always!
Dollar for dollar curently at $720.00 at DELLL!
Recommend Dell for dependability and service plans that are CHEAP and hold it's value when needed!
Second party software is readily available ... Read more
Overall a powerful business phone
Mar 21, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Solid build, more improvement then 9500, more stable
Cons: Lake some features in E61i and 9500, keyboard a bit wide hard to type.
Opinion:
Overall the phone is well designed and brilliant. Thus i talk about it cons. 1. Touch screen (always i wonder why Nokia dont include this.) 2. Keyboard a bit wide 3. No alert light in E61i. 4. E61i has a "best network function" missing in E90. 5. SMS and email send at schedule time in 9500 missing in E90.
It is overall a very powerful phone that i glad that i upgraded. But above cons caused me cut 1 pt as perfection.
Note: GPS function is very well with A-GPS.
