The bad: Soft keys hinder typing; 2.5mm audio jack; no HSDPA; average battery life.
The bottom line: With a faster processor, the Xda Zinc has a slight performance edge over the Dopod 838 Pro but falls short by a slight margin in terms of aesthetics. Unless you're looking for a QWERTY handheld, there're more options out there.

Mediocre phone
Apr 7, 2009Rating: 5 out of 10 (Average)
Pros: large and nice screen
Cons: auto shut down
Opinion:
had quite a number of problems, it hang at times and sometimes auto shutdown and always prompt error msg,now my battery wasn't fully empty about 60 plus % the phone will automatic shut down, contact the personnel in hong kong, they said buy new one without explaining anything, basically upset with the support and the phone...
Good performace with some drawback
Nov 27, 2008Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: QWERTY, 3G, video call, good performance
Cons: battery life, 2.5 mm jack
Opinion:
I like the QWERTY keyboard, it really helps. But sometime it didn't response, so I have to do a soft reset to make it work again.
The 3G connection is good enough for me, since I'm only using it for e-mail and instant messaging.
What I don't like is the battery life. It's so short, can only hold less than two days with normal usage.
Good Phone to use
