CNET Asia Review

The bad: Build quality doesn't justify the premium price; poor battery life; sluggish performance when multiple applications are running; premium price.
The bottom line: There's no doubt that the Nokia N95 is one of the most full-featured smart phones available right now, but its poor battery life could very well be its Achilles' heel.

Lots of features, but lacks the energy
Apr 24, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: very good video quality, almost no blurr shots; music quality can be further enhanced by adjusting equalizer; lots of dowloadable applications
Cons: very limited battery life..
Opinion:
been using this unit for 2 months and i still enjoy its wi-fi capability..nice screen output, good video quality, picture quality is very good also, though not to be compared with SE cybershot cell phones. Still exploring the many functionalities and available (free) downloadable applications this unit can take. Music quality can be further enhanced using different set of ear/headphones, and adjusting the equalizer until you get your desired music quality, though not superb as SE Walkman-phones. Battery however easily drains when listening to music and using wi-fi...i have to charge this celfon almost every night.
Everything you will or will not ever need in mobile device.
Apr 21, 2008Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Everything you can ever squeeze into a mobile device
Cons: bad slider mechanism, battery could be better, camera could use a internal optical zoom
Opinion:
Considering this is a Nokia-made phone, and my third Nokia, I was fairly impressed by it at first.
I will not comment on its pros since most Nokia fans would have told you all about it by now.
Considering its size, it could have use a bigger better battery. It's power consumption was phenomenal. The slider mechanism lasted only about a week before it started becoming wobbly.
The buttons at the bottom of the screen were always in the way. The buttons for media playing could have been situated a little further out.
Lastly the Video-call camera should have been a better quality considering its price.
Awesome Smart Phone with Comprehensive Features, now comes in BLACK!
Apr 3, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: WiFi, HSDPA, GPS, 5Mp Camera, Good Looks and Easy Synchronization
Cons: Battery Life could be longer (presently 2 days standby)
Opinion:
Excellent phone. The Black edition just released this week in Singapore. The behind cover now comes in Black (previously Dark Plum and Sand Beige). The phone now looks more executive. Even after a year of its debut, this phone still rocks with its awesome features and great looks.
So much improvements since its first inception in March 2007. The battery life has now been improved to 2 days (with the recent firmware upgrade) which is decent when compared to other phones out there with far less features. Now also comes with A-GPS for faster lockdown. The slider is very tight and much better than before. Feels solid now to hold. Price is excelent, got mine at $780.
It you're on a tight budget and want to still own a N95, try this instead as an alternative to N95 8GB. And don't get fooled by the phone dealers when they say N95-1 is phased out and no ... Read more
