The bad: Data input is restricted to the keypad.
The bottom line: There may be slimmer or more stylish Windows Mobile smartphones in the market, but the Dopod 595 is one of the few which support 3G.

Don't work with vista for usb modem
Jul 9, 2007Rating: 4 out of 10 (Mediocre)
Pros: nice form factor, camera
Cons: easy acess button so sensitive, can't use usb modem with vista
Opinion:
It's a nice phone, but the key's (easy button) so sensitive and sometimes so hard (i don't understand why) ... i used a laptop that only support vista. when i tried to used the 595 usb modem to connect to 3g network, vista won't allow it. already download the vista usb modem , still can get through.. it's really dissapoint me as i bought the phone just to used it as modem.(my laptop didn't have pcmcia slot for datacard)
Best smartphone ever

Pros: Titanium housing feels solid, Windows mobile 5, great screen
Cons: Non
Opinion:
I used to have O2's Xphone II, and i got so used to it...i can't seem to change to other brands. I have tried Nokia's Symbian, Sony Ericsson's simple user interface, Asus's PDA phone....non is better than Windows Mobile Smartphone.
Finding contact is a breeze....you can type any part of the name of a person, and it will bring you there in a matter of seconds. Without having to scroll down to see one by one.
This phone feels solid with no creaking sound and feels really good when you are holding it in your own hand. The weight is just right although its titanium encased.
Camera wise....so so..coz its just 1.3 megapixel. But sufficient enough for casual user like me.
Great bright vivid screen. Great browsing photos with this phone.
Loud speakers and comes with good earphone as well.
Supports 3G call, Edge...and the best of all HSDPA (3.5G).....Go anywhere and still ... Read more
A great phone, ideal size, light weight, great battery life...

Pros: Size/Shape, the 595 does a great job of being a Phone with PDA facilities thrown in for free
Cons: I can't find a Windows Mobile 6 version of this phone yet!
Opinion:
I was fortunate enough to lose my O2 Graphite and have to replace it with something else. Shopping around I found the DoPod 595 which has a more solid feel to it, a brighter screen and (so far) a better battery life.
