CNET Asia Review
Very good
The good: Tidy design; large number pad; reasonable amount of built-in memory; accessible memory expansion. 7.7
out of 10View score
The bad: Bundled mono earbud; smallish screen.
The bottom line: Nokia's E50 is the non-3G member of the E series, but that doesn't make it any less powerful. Its simple approach will appeal to many who want a capable handset for mobile email, Web, contact management and more, and its neat and tidy design will please many pockets. It's just a shame about the mono earbud.

I'm in love with this phone, mine is "Black Metal" and I think it's worthy of love
Feb 6, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: very nice to touch, handy menus specially for those who are acquainted with earlier symbian phones (mine was Nokia 3650)
Cons: Text is relatively small and you can't make it bigger at least by internal firmware and its programs
Opinion:
If you are looking for a masculine (!), still exquisite mobile phone, it's your choice. when you hold it in your hand it becomes a part of your body. I prefer it to all other E series nokia phones. and as you know it's business class that doesn't mean the best media player you can get and I disagree with mono headphones as a negative point. I think 3g support will make it superman of its class
nice as a first biz handphone

Pros: small form factor, above par battery life, strong network features
Cons: some stability issues - sometimes hangs during a call
Opinion:
A pleasant experience if its your first business phone.Classic design with large screen size ideal for surfing the net while travelling.Good call quality and amazing battery life.Handy office features - word, excel, pdf etc. and very good build quality...mine has suffered quite a few hard knocks and still going strong.I've been using it to connect my laptop(Bluetooth) to the net(EDGE) on the go and I must say it works like a breeze.
The camera is more like an afterthought though...they should've maybe integrated the biz card reader functionality as well.
I've been using the black edition for the past 6 months and the only problem that I used to have was - hanging while on a call.It used to happen very often for the first one month or so but mysteriously the problem seems to have dissappeard completely...guess it must've been after I installed the Nokia PC Suite on my laptop to connect the phone and dabbled with it for a ... Nokia E 50 -- A True Nokia Cell phone
May 28, 2007Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Nokia E50 -- Back to roots Nokia
Cons: WIfi Would have made it complete
Opinion:
Nokia Engineers -- hope you are reading. For the price you pay for this phone it does ALOT. If it had wifi -- imagine a slim, reliable phone with all these functions and SIP phone compatibility.
