CNET Asia Review
Very good
The good: 1.3 megapixel camera; voice recorder; Bluetooth connectivity; up to 60 minutes of video recording. 7.2
out of 10View score
The bad: Awkward slide design.
The bottom line: The Samsung SGH-D820 is a good all-round quadband phone with some great features including a 1.3-megapixel camera, decent quality voice recorder and an MP3/AAC/AAC+ music player. Largely it is easy to use without requiring in-depth study of its user guide but occasionally the design lets it down.

Its a great looking phone with good features. But the problems that it has are numerous, such as: 1)Poor battery life.
2)No flash in camera. 3)No infrared. 4)Limited punctuations on sms. 5)Unmutable keypad. 6)Poor zooming power. & 7)It doesn't support some file formats like video &/or audio(unsupported file format). Are there any possibilities of upgrades to this phone or some improvements to these incapabilities of this phone. If so,do inform of such improvements & upgrades.

Oct 9, 2006Rating: 1 out of 10 (Abysmal)
Pros: looks cool (but looks can be deceiving)
Cons: Battery life, software, lousy SMS interface, pretty much everything
Opinion:
I purchased this phone three months ago and couldn't be more disappointed. where do i begin?
1. After proper charging and normal phone usage, one of my batteries will hold a charge for three hours and one will hold a charge for seven hours. the rated battery life for this phone is a total lie.
2. Text messaging is difficult because of the plastic spacing between the numbers on the keypad. the delete key is horribly placed under the key that scrolls through your word choices. the phone also doesn't move more commonly used words to the front of the list.
3. I'm constantly losing calls and not getting signals in places i should.
4. The software flat out doesn't work at all. I cannot sync the phone with my computer. the only way to add music is to put is on the expandable memory card by selecting the phone as usb external memory.
