CNET Asia Review
Very good
The good: Sleek design; clear and sharp QVGA screen; 3.2-megapixel camera; numerous onboard camera settings; BestPic and Picture Blogging function; built-in Xenon flash; good image quality; image stabilizer. 7.7
out of 10View score
The bad: Lens cover may be prone to scratches; poor camera settings selection interface; sluggish phone menu load time; no optical zoom for camera; no bundled M2 card.
The bottom line: The Sony Ericsson K800i is a competent camera and phone rolled into a sleek form factor.

Amazing Phone
Apr 20, 2008Rating: 10 out of 10 (Perfect)
Pros: Awesome Camera, v. loud, long battery life, very convienient
Cons: I can't think of a single one!
Opinion:
Sony Ericsson K800i is an amazing price, with now an even more amazing price, £69 on clearance on T-mobile, T-mobile has 3p texts and Sony Ericsson really did an amazing job. The camera is unbelievable and the features amazing. It has a huge screen, and plays music v. loud. The ear phones express the sound even more. The buttons are simple and easy to use and the joystick makes games even more enjoyable and screens easier to use. Sony Ericsson deserves lots of praise for this amazing phone, they really pushed the use of phone mobility to the maximum making it such an amazing phone. Well done Sony Ericsson!
One of the best
Apr 20, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Excellent sound quality, great 3.2 megapixel camera, sleek design
Cons: Joystick doesn't bring the joy in browsing
Opinion:
K800i may look a bit humble compared to other slimmer & shinier mobile phones. But it gives you almost everything you need. Fantastic music player (I have compared the sound quality with Nokia & Samsung, and SE is the best). Great camera. I tested it to take pics of my diamond ring, and the result is very clear. The only complain I can make is its joystick, which is not joyful at all. It sometimes sticks and sensitive. When you press down a bit harder (when you want to scroll down), it would enter the option instead of scrolling down. I have sent out messages to the wrong people many times. SE, no more joystick please.
Good phone but can be fiddly
Feb 22, 2008Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: Nice photos and phone is easy to use
Cons: Small keypad and joystick. Lens cover keep opening up.
Opinion:
This is by far the best phone l've had so far. The main problem is the constant opening of the lens camera cover. If Sony could make a phone with a flip top then enlarge the keypad and develop a way of keeping the camera lens covered until required then l think they would have another winner. If they do have one can someone let me know. Thanks
